Sides Of The Moon

The day gets dark
The sun goes down
The moon takes place
Shining light from the sun

All doors are locked
Windows tightly latched
People drop off
And all life rest

Outside, the streets
Abandoned in the dark
The wind blows swiftly
In the silence of the night

The air turns cold
Sending chills up and down
Somewhere in the streets
Shadows arise

One by one, appearing from nowhere
Dooming and haunting the streets everywhere
Creatures below crawl beneath the surface
Finding their way through the underground maze

In the middle of the night they stand
Searching and seeking with trembling hands
Their glowing eyes and gasping breath
Bringing the dead of the streets to life

While people sleep
These creatures creep
They watch like spies
When they close their eyes

Far from the edge of the word
They remain hidden in conundrum
Heaving into sight, threading their way by
Whenever the moon sits in the sky

The whispering wind is wooing again
Into the face of time and space
Somewhere in the streets
All shadows retreat

When dawn comes
The creatures runs aground
One by one
As they pass out of sight

Once again, the streets
Are deserted
Silence returns
And the place is dead

Their existence live on
Possessing forces one can't define
Unearthly these creatures, they may be
They leave their trails where no one finds

*****
Finished lunch after school. Bored and refused to start on homework. This was what came out from my sleepy state. Snoozed off on the dining table thereafter.
